الضحى

Surah Ad-Duhaa

Surah Ad-Duhaa (الضحى) is surah 93 of the 114 surahs of the Quran. It has 11 ayahs, was revealed in Mecca (Meccan), and its name means “The Morning Hours”.

  1. وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ۝١

    93:1By the morning brightness

  2. وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ۝٢

    93:2And [by] the night when it covers with darkness

  3. مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ۝٣

    93:3Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]

  4. وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرࣱ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ ۝٤

    93:4And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]

  5. وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ ۝٥

    93:5And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied

  6. أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمࣰا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ۝٦

    93:6Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge

  7. وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلࣰّا فَهَدَىٰ ۝٧

    93:7And He found you lost and guided [you]

  8. وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلࣰا فَأَغۡنَىٰ ۝٨

    93:8And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient

  9. فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ ۝٩

    93:9So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]

  10. وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ ۝١٠

    93:10And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]

  11. وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ ۝١١

    93:11But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]
