Surah Al-Fatihah

Surah Al-Fatihah (الفاتحة) is surah 1 of the 114 surahs of the Quran. It has 7 ayahs, was revealed in Mecca (Meccan), and its name means “The Opener”.

  1. بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ۝١

    1:1In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

  2. ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ۝٢

    1:2[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds

  3. ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ۝٣

    1:3The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

  4. مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ ۝٤

    1:4Sovereign of the Day of Recompense

  5. إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ ۝٥

    1:5It is You we worship and You we ask for help

  6. ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ۝٦

    1:6Guide us to the straight path

  7. صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ۝٧

    1:7The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray
