Surah Al-Qari'ah

Surah Al-Qari'ah (القارعة) is surah 101 of the 114 surahs of the Quran. It has 11 ayahs, was revealed in Mecca (Meccan), and its name means “The Calamity”.

  1. ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ۝١

    101:1The Striking Calamity

  2. مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ۝٢

    101:2What is the Striking Calamity

  3. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ ۝٣

    101:3And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity

  4. يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ ۝٤

    101:4It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed

  5. وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ ۝٥

    101:5And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up

  6. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ۝٦

    101:6Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]

  7. فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةࣲ رَّاضِيَةࣲ ۝٧

    101:7He will be in a pleasant life

  8. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ۝٨

    101:8But as for one whose scales are light

  9. فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةࣱ ۝٩

    101:9His refuge will be an abyss

  10. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ ۝١٠

    101:10And what can make you know what that is

  11. نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ ۝١١

    101:11It is a Fire, intensely hot
