Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Quran MP4 (quranmp4.com) does with data when you use it. You can use the tool without an account.

Last updated: 2026-10-03

Summary

  • No account, no sign-up, no email needed. We don’t ask for your name.
  • Your projects are stored in your own browser, not on our server.
  • Audio you upload and videos you render are stored on our server only temporarily and deleted automatically (audio after about 24 hours, videos after about 2 hours).
  • We don’t use analytics or tracking scripts other than the advertising described below.

What stays in your browser

Projects (the passage, timing and design choices) are saved in your browser’s local storage, and media you add to a project (audio, background images or videos) in your browser’s IndexedDB. They stay on your device and are removed when you delete the project or clear your browser data.

What the server processes

  • Uploaded audio is stored privately under a random id, usable only from your browser, so it can be timed and rendered. It is deleted automatically after about 24 hours (sooner if the server restarts). You can also remove it yourself.
  • Background images or videos are sent to the server only when you export, used for that render and deleted with it.
  • Rendered videos are kept so you can download them, and deleted automatically after about 2 hours.
  • Auto Sync analyses your audio on our server. The resulting ayah timings (not the audio) may be cached for up to 7 days so the same recording isn’t analysed twice.
  • Online recitations: when you load one, our server requests it from Quran Foundation. Only the surah, ayah range and reciter are sent — not your IP address or anything about you. Downloaded recitations are cached on our server for about 24 hours.
  • Abuse protection: to keep the free service available, the server counts recent requests per browser and per IP address in memory for up to one hour.
  • Technical logs: the server records errors and render status (for example “render failed”) to fix problems. These logs don’t contain your files.

Cookies and similar storage

  • qs_demo_id — a random identifier (HTTP-only cookie, kept for up to one year) that lets the server know which uploaded files and renders belong to your browser. It is necessary for the tool to work and isn’t used for advertising or tracking.
  • Local storage and IndexedDB — your projects and media, as described above.
  • Advertising cookies set by Google — see “Advertising” below.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes connection data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Advertising

Some content pages (not the video editor) show ads served by Google AdSense.

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before personalised ads are used.
