Quran Reel Maker for Instagram & TikTok
Vertical Quran reels need a few things a normal video doesn’t: the right size, text that stays clear of the app’s buttons, and timing that works in a short loop.
The right size: 9:16, 1080×1920
Instagram Reels and TikTok are full-screen vertical. In the editor’s Format panel, pick the Instagram Reels or TikTok preset; both export 1080×1920 pixels. The preset also selects the matching safe-zone guide.
Keep the ayahs out from under the buttons
Both apps draw their own interface on top of your video: the caption and account name at the bottom, and like, comment and share buttons down the right edge. Text placed there is hard to read. Turn on Show safe-zone guides to see those areas outlined in the preview. The guides are only drawn in the editor — they are never part of the exported video.
In practice: keep the Quran text centred and slightly above the middle, use a maximum width that leaves margins at both sides, and leave the bottom fifth for the platform caption.
Short passages read best
Reels are often watched on a loop. One to three ayahs is usually enough: the viewer can read each ayah while it is recited without rushing. Choose the range on the new-project page; the verified text appears as you select, so you can see how long it is before you start.
- One ayah at a time (display mode “single”) gives the largest text.
- Highlight current ayah keeps the whole passage on screen and emphasises the ayah being recited — good for two or three short ayahs.
- Word highlight lights up each word as it is recited when the recitation has word timings, which works well on mobile screens.
Readable on a phone
- Use a size that still looks large on a small screen; the editor shrinks text automatically if a long ayah wouldn’t fit.
- Add a dark overlay or blur to busy backgrounds so the Arabic stands out.
- If you show a translation, keep it a little smaller than the Arabic and close to it.
Instagram feed posts: 4:5 and 1:1
For a post in the Instagram grid rather than a Reel, use the Instagram Portrait (4:5, 1080×1350) or Instagram Square (1:1, 1080×1080) preset. The same project can be exported in all formats, so you can make a Reel and a feed post from one timing.
Publishing
Quran MP4 exports an MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio) that both apps accept. Upload it from your phone or computer as you would any video. Before posting, check each app’s current rules for video length and file size, as they change from time to time.
