Terms of Use

The service

Quran MP4 is a free web tool for making Quran videos. It is provided as it is, without payment and without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. Features may change. There is no paid version.

Fair use

To keep the shared server available to everyone, please don’t:

• automate requests, scrape the service, or try to get around the technical limits (video length, upload size, export rate);
• upload files that aren’t genuine audio, images or video, or that are meant to harm the service;
• use the tool to make content that mocks, distorts or disrespects the Quran, or that is unlawful.

Requests that break these rules may be refused.

Your uploads

You are responsible for the audio, images and videos you upload. Only upload material you have the right to use. You keep all rights to your uploads and to the videos you make; we use your files only to make your video and delete them automatically (see the privacy policy).

Recitations

Online recitations are provided by Quran Foundation. When you publish a video, credit the reciter and respect any terms that apply to the recording.

Quran text and translations

The Arabic text comes from The Noble Qur’an Encyclopedia via the quran-json dataset (CC BY-SA 4.0); translations are by Saheeh International and Muhammad Hamidullah via tanzil.net. Sources and licences are on the sources page. The text can’t be edited in the tool.

Your videos

You decide where to publish your videos and are responsible for them, including following the rules of the platforms you upload to. We don’t post anything on your behalf.

Limitation

We work carefully to keep the text, timing and exports correct, but please review every video before you publish it. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses from using the service, from unavailability, or from lost projects (projects are stored only in your browser).
