How to Create a Quran Video

A complete walkthrough: choose the passage, add a recitation, sync the ayahs, style the video and export an MP4 — free and without an account.

This guide takes you from an empty page to a finished MP4. It takes a few minutes for a short passage. You don’t need an account: your project is saved in your browser as you work.

1. Choose the surah and ayahs

Open the new project page. Search for the surah by name, number or Arabic name, then set the first and last ayah. The verified Arabic text and its translation appear on the right, so you can check the passage before you continue. Pick the format you need (9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok; 16:9 for YouTube) — you can change it later — and press Open in Studio.

2. Add a recitation

In the Audio tab you have two options. Online Recitations lists the reciters Quran Foundation offers for this surah; choose one and load it. When the provider has ayah timestamps, the recording is cut to your ayahs and the timing is filled in for you. Or use Upload Audio for your own MP3, WAV or M4A file (only recordings you have permission to use).

3. Check the timing

The timeline under the preview shows the waveform and one block per ayah. Press play and watch: each ayah should appear when it starts and stay until it ends. If it doesn’t, drag the block edges onto the pauses in the waveform, use Tap to Sync (tap once at the start of each ayah while listening), or try Auto Sync, which suggests boundaries from the pauses for you to review. See how Quran ayah timing works for details.

4. Style the video

  • Templates: start from a ready look. Applying a template changes the style only — never your passage or timing.
  • Background: choose from the library, a gradient or colour, or drag in your own image or video. Add a dark overlay or blur if the text needs more contrast.
  • Text: font, size, colour, position, glow, a box behind the text, and the translation’s style and position.
  • Effects: the animation between ayahs, a word effect (typewriter or word highlight), progress bar and watermark (optional).

5. Export

Press Export, then Render video. The server renders the MP4 with FFmpeg and shows each real step: preparing, rendering the text, encoding, validating and saving. When it says Complete, press Download MP4. The download stays available for about two hours.

Tips

  • Short passages read better on phones; for long passages use 16:9 or “Highlight current ayah”.
  • Preview the whole video once with sound before exporting — it’s the quickest way to catch a timing slip.
  • Your project stays in this browser. Export the MP4 before clearing browser data.
